SPACETRC / SCIENTIFIC OBSERVATIONS
From images to data.
From data to questions.
Query CDS SIMBAD around ICRS coordinates. Compare sourced real photometry with your own CSV; export units and provenance together.
No external data provider is contacted on page load. Dated archives and current provider reads are separate actions. Image brightness is not converted into physical measurements.

Coordinate-based scientific query
SIMBAD is a heterogeneous astronomical database compiled from the literature; it is not a homogeneous sky-survey catalogue. Missing parallax or spectral type is not interpreted as zero.
No query has run. Up to 100 records; maximum cone radius 0.2°.
Reproducible query and provenance
Coordinates: ICRS, J2000. Proper motion is in mas/year; the RA component is μα cosδ. No epoch propagation, inverse-parallax distance inference or invented spectral-type temperature is applied. A 100-row result may be truncated.
02 / REAL PHOTOMETRY
Compare a light curve.
NASA Kepler / MAST Kepler-8 Q0: 453 quality-zero measurements observed 2009-05-02–2009-05-11. PDCSAP flux is divided by the selected series median, 49778.21484375 e−/s; uncertainty uses the same factor. This is an observed light curve, not a continuous spectrum.
The light curve has not been loaded.
Compare with your own CSV
Up to 500 KB / 2000 measurements; columns x,y,error (error optional). The file is processed only in this browser. Residuals use exact matching x values only; there is no hidden interpolation or automatic fit.
TDB is not UTC. Relative flux is dimensionless; it is not an absolute energy-flux measurement. Choosing a unit does not convert values. Different calibrations or time systems must be scientifically transformed first.
Sources, licensing and method
SIMBAD data are from CDS, Strasbourg, France; ODbL 1.0 and original scholarly references are retained. The packaged database extract is redistributed under ODbL. Kepler data are credited to NASA Kepler / STScI MAST. GCN bulletins link to their original NASA records; this platform claims no institutional partnership or endorsement.
The visual atlas remains in the existing multiwavelength observatory. This desk adds numerical data, provenance and comparison workflows. Imported files are not automatically uploaded or persistently stored.
