SPACETRC / ORBIT RESEARCH
Follow the orbit.
Know the epoch.
Sourced OMM records for ISS and TÜRKSAT 6A, SGP4/SDP4 propagation, ground tracks and geometric visibility from a selected observing site.
No external data request or location permission is made on page open. Packaged sources load from this site. Your selections and local files stay in this browser.
01 / CHOOSE THE SOURCE
Packaged OMM retrieval date: 24 October 2026. Up to 200 KB; one OMM object or an array of up to 50 records. Propagation is bounded to ±72 hours from the selected record’s epoch.
Open a current record at its official source, save JSON and import it here. CelesTrak generally updates GP data every two hours; avoid repeatedly requesting the same record. This page makes no automatic external query.

02 / TIME AND REFERENCE
Geometric passes over the next 24 hours
30-second sampling with binary refinement at threshold crossings; up to 20 windows. This is geometric visibility: cloud, light pollution, solar illumination, refraction and obstructions are not included. A satellite above the horizon is not necessarily visible to the naked eye.
Reopen the same investigation
JSON keeps the data record, time, reference frame and selections together. Shared URLs exclude personal notes and account information.
One model, two very different orbits.
A fast ground track in low orbit
ISS moves rapidly over Earth. Changing the observing site changes pass windows and maximum elevation. Compare two cities to examine different observing geometries using the same ephemeris.
A rhythm near Earth’s rotation
Inspect TÜRKSAT 6A’s orbital period near a sidereal day. Small inclination and eccentricity produce small ground-track motion. A source OMM record does not predict future station-keeping maneuvers.
Epoch anchors the prediction.
OMM mean orbital elements are propagated with SGP4/SDP4. Position is rotated from TEME to an approximate Earth-fixed frame; observer geometry uses the WGS84 ellipsoid. This educational interface is not an operational or collision-analysis service.
