An archival volume may contain several works. The image count covers the full volume; a selected work’s folio range is identified in its copy record.
The archive is contacted only when you press “open”. Large PDF files are not downloaded automatically.

Work and copy
A work’s composition and the production of the copy you are viewing may belong to different periods. Record both.
Diagram and measurement
Ask which orientation and coordinate system a drawing uses. Read historical conventions in their own setting.
Source and citation
Note the institution, shelfmark, copy information and leaf. Check the reuse statement on each source record.
